Our annual spring Scholastic Book Fair was another huge success! Thank you to everyone for supporting the book fair and also donating books to your child’s classroom! Because of your purchases totaling $1410.00, The Chastain School earned $732.01 in books which were distributed to all of our classrooms. Thanks again! You all Rock!!!

Congratulations to Brianna Harmon (Peach) for earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential! Brianna completed 120 education units in early childhood education to earn her CDA certification. We would also like to congratulate Ms. Lori Beasley (Cypress) & Angela Jones (Kids Club) for successfully renewing their CDA certification. They completed 45 continuing education units and maintained membership in an early children education professional organization. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments! Kudos Ladies! The Chastain School held its 2nd Annual Fall Fling on Friday, October 9th and boy did we have a good time!  The weather was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was awesome!  For 3 hours, the children exhausted themselves bouncing in the 2 moonwalks and dancing to the beats of DJ Willy Wow!  Liza Bean, of Liza Bean Designs, Atlanta’s premier face painter was also on hand. Two Fridays out of the month, the Chastain School hosts Parent’s Night Out (PNO) where our parents or anyone in the community can sign up to receive high quality childcare while they enjoy a night out on the town or a relaxing evening in. Keisha Holt, TCS’s former administrative assistant, who now works as the Event & Sales Coordinator at Cinebistro, kindly offered 2 complimentary movie tickets to the first 4 people who signed up for the December 13th, January 9th and January 23rd PNOs. Each year, each TCS classroom picks a holiday volunteer experience and the Genesis Adopt a Family is one of them.  Genesis, a key program of OUR House Inc., is a shelter for homeless newborn babies under six months of age and their families.  Genesis’ mission: “To provide a supportive environment that enables homeless newborns and their families achieve positive life outcomes for this generation and those to come” Thanks to all of you who donated gifts!  So many families participated this year, that we had to take the TCS bus to transport all of the gifts to the shelter!  Ms.…
