St. John Children’s Center Announces a New Era For Early Childhood Education In Sandy Springs

Two Mainstays of Early Child Development Join to Serve Buckhead/Sandy Springs Families

Atlanta, GA — May 31, 2019 — St. John Children’s Center and The Chastain School announce the beginning of a new era for early childhood education in Sandy Springs as St. John acquires the assets of Chastain. On Monday June 3rd, St. John will welcome many newly enrolled students and recently hired teachers from Chastain to their new classrooms. “I couldn’t be happier with the way this has turned out, said Tom Wakefield of The Chastain School. It has always been about caring for the families, children and teachers, so we are very pleased that so many of them will be going to St. John”.

Cathy Ramos, chair of the St. John Board of Governors, said, “We are working hard to ensure the new strategic options enabled by this combination bring exciting new opportunities for growth to our children, as well as our organization and its ability to meet the growing needs of the community. At the same time, we will always keep in mind that it is the sheltering environment of Christian love that draws families to St. John.”
